I can only edit bedrock permissions and not java.

The permissions on both of my accounts (bedrock and java) were automatically set to not being able to play multiplayer, however when i changed my permissions to allow, it only changed for bedrock and not java. All of my accounts are linked with bedrock and when I attempt to manage my Minecraft java account, the only permissions I can edit are the same one for bedrock. I have tried a lot of things including editing Xbox permissions, Microsoft permissions and Minecraft account permissions and yet I have found no solutions.
