invisible icon on taskbar and "missing storage"

 I installed Minecraft on my computer recently and when I opened the "MinecraftInstaller.exe" it said that there was no "storage folder" or something like that. I just ignored the warnings and minecraft installed properly but now the logo is invisible. I can pin to taskbar but would prefer to have it on my desktop screen. Whenever I try to drag it to my desktop screen to make a shortcut it doesnt do anything.
