Won't let me play Java

I bought the minecraft bedrock & java edition. I played both and decided to call it a day, now a week and a half later the only game that runs is "minecraft for windows" (aka Java). For java it keeps asking me to enter a username and when I add my current username it says already taken. But when I add another username it says "FAILED TO CRETE PROFILE"
