Installer failing to install game on new computer

Hi,

I have a new computer and was installing Minecraft from scratch on it using https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/msaprofile/mygames

Upon running the exe I am met with failure to install and the error code '80244022'. Upon researching this, it appears to be something related to "client PC being unable to communicate with the server due to invalid proxy setting". I'm unsure if this is an issue my end, I was wondering if someone could shed some light on this error and whether this is an issue on Mojang/Microsoft's end?
