Launcher won't open macOS, updater greyed out and glitching

Minecraft Java Launcher downloads perfectly but doesn't open. The app icon performs the jumping animation to signal it is opening twice before showing a crash report. This is a new problem occuring as of 2023, despite the game working perfectly in 2022. My OS version is 13.3.1 as stated in the attached problem report.
