Minecraft Java won't open

When I try to launch Minecraft Java, it says "Unable to open Minecraft". I uninstalled and reinstalled the launcher and the problem still occurs. It shouldn't have anything to do with the launcher version as it's up to date, and I have 397 gigabytes of storage left. It also says it can't verify what products I own, even though I have a very strong Wi-fi connection. I use a Microsoft account.
