Can not launch the game via Play buton in the launcher

Hi,

For context, the game was going smooth and dandy, until I uninstalled the old and unsupported Minecraft Dungeon launcher. After that, the new launcher bugged so I reinstalled both the game and the new launcher and even deleted all local files. Now, whenever I try to press the Play button in the launcher, nothing happens but the launcher crashes. The game only turns on after using the .exe file, which is not the most desirable state.
My theory is that the launcher does not detect new local files for some reason. As you can see on the screenshot attached, there is no button for verifying/fixing local files and on top of that, the path to the file is just... odd.
