Minecraft launcher fails to install/
As of about two months ago, I have been completely unable to install or launch the Minecraft launcher through the windows store on my Windows 10 PC. At first, I was able to install the launcher, however I could not get it to actually open. Checking services.msc showed 'Gaming Services' as stuck in the 'Starting' status.
After installing several Windows 10 updates, it appears as if the launcher is no longer installed, however clicking 'Install' either results in a generic error, or a reset of the 'Install' button which does nothing. Checking services.msc, it appears 'Gaming Services' is yet again stuck 'Starting'.
As usual, microsoft's infuriating reluctance to show feedback / error codes makes troubleshooting almost impossible.
If you read the reviews for the Minecraft launcher in the Windows App Store page, there are hundreds of people complaining about this issue, which is exacerbated by the canned responses from microsoft linking visibly frustrated users to their useless support page.
I have now written an essay describing this issue, when I could have been playing Minecraft, which I bought over 10 years ago. Now I am unable to play it as a result of Microsoft's incompetence.
I would like to be compensated for the time I have been unable to use the product I purchased.
