i am trying to open up minecraft java edition that i just bought but it is telling me that it cannto find my java runtime

whilst trying to open up Minecraft java editions a popup is showing with an error that java run time cannot be found I have deleted and re-installed Minecraft launcher many times and also tried to update java yet still not working. hope you can help and give me a solution to fix it because I was looking forward to starting playing Minecraft but couldn't
