Forge Installation of 1.10.2 not showing up in launcher

Windows 10 PC, using latest launcher 2.3.645.  Installed forge client 1.10.2-12.18.3.2477, indicated installed successfully.  Shows up in versions folder.  Only a JSON file, but NO executable jar file.  Also and understandably doesn't show up in the launcher as a valid version.

What am I doing wrong?  Thanks in advance for the help.
