Always update when open even when open again a few minutes later

Every time I open the Minecraft Launcher, it would always update, even when I had closed it for only a few minutes. When I open it again, it would update once again. This issue has been affecting me for more than a year now.

How do I fix this issue so I won't have to go through the process of the Minecraft Launcher updating every time when I open it?
