Launcher will not download windows edition minecraft

Unable to download Window edition Mincraft with launcher. Keep getting the "error" message.
Steps I have taken

• Uninstall and reinstall launcher
• Repair and Reset app
• Reset store
• Restarted computer
  None of these have fixed the issue
