Minecraft launcher is bugging out and I don't know how to fix it.

says in the top right of my screen "We were unable to verify what products you own. Please check your internet connection." and at the bottom of the screen it says "oh no! Something went wrong, and we couldn't connect to the Minecraft services" It flickers between "Play Offline" and "Play Demo"
