Launcher window closes, when Minecraft Java crashes

when Minecraft java crashes, the Launcher closes, even if Keep the Launcher open is selected

steps to reproduce

1. check the Keep the Launcher open option, in the Launcher settings
2. launch Minecraft Java
3. bring Minecraft Java to crash, for example with `F3+C` when in a world
4. see that the launcher briefly shows the crash message, and then closes
