An Unexpected Issue Occured When Setting Username
When launching Minecraft Java edition from the Minecraft launcher, I am prompted to set a username before launching the game, the username is entered, verified and upon pressing confirm an error is displayed and I cannot continue, no action happens when trying this via the browser too.
I have recently added Game Pass in order to load minecraft
I have tried reinstalling the launcher and Minecraft: Java edition (sounds like an account issue to me though given the below)
What I expected to happen was...:
Expect username to set and Minecraft Java edition to launch
What actually happened was...:
Error message popped up after pressing ok to set username
Error message states: "An unexpected issue occurred; we are sorry for the inconvenience.
Upon inspecting the logs I can see the following message:
[Error: 2022-09-08 16:57:29.1308603: Common_p.h(152)] POST request to https://api.minecraftservices.com/minecraft/profile responded with: Response code: 403
This is also true when trying to set username via the browser, and also calling the API endpoint via CURL (Postman)
