Unexpected Error after trying to add a name to a new Microsoft account

After buying a Minecraft Gift card and redeeming it and getting a New Minecraft Account (Microsoft). I needed to choose a name for my account in the Minecraft launcher (to play Minecraft java) but it isn't letting me enter my name.
