Minecraft bedrock does not download

So i logged on and saw that i was still running MC 1.19.10 when trying to join a friend. I saw there was the patch for 1.19.21 but the launcher would not download it. I uninstalled and reinstalled both MC and the launcher but no matter what happens, the DL bar just sits with "Error" and does nothing. I have tried various launcher fixes, app fixes etc and still i get this error and cannot download minecraft for windows.
