Minecraft dont launch on versions before 1.13, even with openjdk 8

so I was testing linux when I decided to install minecraft, however for some reason older versions (before 1.13) is not opening, even with openjdk 8, I've tried to specify the java path but it didn't work, I remember being with the same linux with basically the same hardware (the only difference is that I have more ram) and it worked without problems
