I Can't install windows minecraft

So when i'm about to install the windows minecraft, it doesn't even start. it says waiting for install, but the progress bar shows nothing but "Idle". I can't even click on the pause or x button. This is in the new minecraft launcher. I've also tried closing and reoping the launcher, but nothing changes...
