Unable to download Minecraft for Windows from launcher.

Unable to download Minecraft for Windows from the launcher. When I click play and game should install, play button turns grey, stuck there and does not install. When I close launcher and open it again, same thing happens when trying to install. Uninstalled launcher and game, same results.
