Couldn't connect to minecraft services

I recently installed Minecraft once again and it continuously says "Oh no! Something went wrong, and we couldn't connect to the Minecraft services." I have tried absolutely everything to attempt to fix this including a DNS change, and all the Minecraft launcher versions (Microsoft store, Windows 10, Windows 7/8). This is also happening on my girlfriends PC too, but I noticed if I connect to a VPN everything works just fine. Our connection is just fine and everything works besides Minecraft, DNS change didn't work, reinstallation didn't work. I am unaware of what I can do to fix this...
