When I try to login to my Microsoft account it only lets me play the "demo"

When I try to login to my Microsoft account through the mc launcher, it logs in like normal. Then, it doesn't log in the my Minecraft username and where it would normally say my mc username it say "Player" I have tried many times to wait it out, and relogging many times, neither of which worked. This happened when I was restarting my launcher and when I went back in this happened. It only lets me play the demo version. PLEASE HELP. Ask questions if you need more info.
