Issue regarding debian distribution

I got an "Oh no! Something went wrong, and you will not be automatically signed in next session" message. I visited the troubleshooting page, but the explanation for why I wouldn't be signed in automatically didn't make sense. This is because I'm pretty sure I used the minecraft file from the official minecraft page. I have a chromebook so I use the chrome os version of linux. I used the command
