Exploit With Xbox Gamepass Allows Multiple Java Accounts to be Created for $1

Hi there Mojang, I caught wind of this a few days ago but only within the last few hours refined the instructions to replicate.

First step is to, of course, sign up for a 3 month membership of gamepass for $1. This is the PC version, found here.

Once you've subscribed and picked a username inside of the Launcher (specifically the one downloadable through gamepass, attachment 1) you need to then go to switch account and create a new Microsoft account.

This accidentally then lets you pick a username for your new Microsoft account, one you haven't paid for. Once you've picked a new username, this then gives you a new account in addition to the 3 month one on the $1 gamepass.

I haven't been able to confirm, but this could potentially last longer than the 3 month trial - as it is separate to the original one you created. Even if not, this is still a way to create two profiles from one subscription. These are two individually recognized accounts with unique aliases, as can be confirmed via the API or on Namemc

I will update as I learn more, but I don't think it's that difficult or complex to replicate following the above instructions. This took me awhile to figure out, as I am a UK resident and the service is US specific, so apologies I can't provide more specifics - most of what I discovered I did through using a US-based friend to test.
