Slow Connection on Minecraft

Hello everyone, i need help from you all, so recently i just bought minecraft, and i used the Minecraft Launcher. But when i tried download the game version, it was very slow, it didnt match up my wifi speed. When i tried like downloading something in the other apps, it was fast as normal, not like when in minecraft, it was so slow. Then i succeeded downloaded it, then when i played in some server, the ping were really bad, i can even barely play it because it was so lagging because of the network. Can anyone please help me with it? Thanks
