when i click play it loads then brings up the launcher again

when i click play it loads then brings up the launcher again

*it should load up the game

it just loads up the launcher
Steps to Reproduce:
1. load up the launcher
2. click the play
3. let it load up
3. its really 1.7.4 but it wont let me put it on the version thing
