Closes when attempting to log in with Microsoft Account after upgrading

I've attempted to do all the current "fixes" for this problem and nothing. The launcher opens but when I click "Microsoft Login" it disappears and nothing launches. Incredibly frustrating. I don't recommend anyone "upgrade" since it's obviously a scam by Microsoft to force you to pay again or monthly for a subscription.
