Trying to allocate more memory to snapshots in the new launcher causes blue screen

1. we dont need an update every time we open the old launcher that the new one is available....
2. when i try to allocate more memory to snapshots on the new launcher it blue screens my whole system....
What I expected to happen was...:
the game would load (like it should have if a half baked product wasnt put out)

What actually happened was...:
my computer error coded and blue screened 

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open new launcher 

2. select installations

3. replace 2g with either 8 or 10g in the code to allocate more memory

4. start the game

5. watch the pathetic blue screen pop up
