New launcher doesnt save new worlds

I have recently installed the new minecraft launcher and all my world saves seem as usual. I created a new world and was able to play in it as normal. Once I exited back to the main menu I noticed the new world does not show up in the worlds list. It is in the game files but does not show up in game. I created other worlds just to make sure but they all suffer the same problem.

I just want to create a new world and have it be saved on the worlds list.
