I cannot open the Minecraft launcher.

I have downloaded and installed the new Minecraft Launcher, but it won't start. In addition it seems in my Mojang account that it is not registered that I already have bought the Minecraft Java Edition. Is there any way this problem could be resolved- or what steps can I take to solve this problem?
