Mac OS 10.11.6 - Launcher Error, "Something went wrong..."

Launcher no longer connects to account since last update. Error, "Something went wrong...". Same problem 2 months ago (fixed in 2 days with update). The return of this error has been a problem for 3 weeks now. Many duplicate tickets exist however they don't state all OS's affected. In addition to numerous Mac OS 10.11.6 reports, I have read that Windows7, Windows10 and Linux systems are also affected.
