Launcher will not download windows edition or detect if it is already installed.

I have the windows edition already downloaded on my computer however I can not open it through the launcher. When opening the launcher I only get the prompt to install it, and when I do it gets stuck on idle. Both the pause and cancel buttons do not work either. I have let it sit for over five hours and the issue still persists.
