Unable to login to my microsoft account (java) due to a "Crashing Bug" in the new Microsoft Minecraft Launcher

So recently I have updated my Minecraft launcher to the new Microsoft Minecraft Launcher. Upon opening the new launcher, I tried to press 'Microsoft login' but the launcher would just crash. It would either crash or just sit in the background in my task manager.
