Minecraft launcher when I try to log in to my Microsoft account it never shows login window

when opening the Minecraft launcher it loads shows me the option to pick Microsoft or Mojang when I click Microsoft account a window appears for a split second then disappears then shows an error it but used to just load. (this issue has been edited)
