'new' launcher doesn't recognise that I have the game and cant connect to service

I have installed the new launcher and it doesnt work. Uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and it still doesnt work. I log into my microsoft account (I have already migrated my mojang account over) and it logs in but says minecraft services are available and only gives me the demo as a pay option.
