Lost playability in java edition

I downloaded the new launcher and it now says I don't have java edition, it only lets me play the demo version and it says for more I should buy minecraft. I literally bought my account when bedrock edition didn't even exist, so this makes no sense. Fortunately I can still play on the other launcher, but still, gotta fix.
