Unable to Login due to invalid e-mail syntax?

I'm unable to login using my Microsoft email account (I recently migrated to Microsoft) even though it is correct (as is the password since I literally just reset it). I'm suspecting that this has to do with the regex that is used in detecting valid emails, but I'm not sure.
