Downloading minecraft takes forever

Hello, I accidentally deleted my .minecraft folder and I'm redownloading the game. But the launcher just want to delay as much as possible, I have started downloading from 40 minutes ago yet it still hasnt made half way through. My internet isnt the best but I can assure it still goods enough to download minecraft.
