Minecraft crashes on launch with exceptions
For 3 weeks I have been playing a modded version of minecraft perfectly fine. Yesterday I started having major performance issues, despite having a good computer. I attempted to launch vanilla minecraft to see if I had similar performance issues, but was not able to launch ANY version of vanilla.

I've taken a large amount of troubleshooting steps.
- Uninstall CurseForge.
- Uninstall Minecraft
- Uninstall Java
- Delete any leftover files from them
- Delete any leftover Registry keys from them
- Restart, re-install Java, another restart, re-install vanilla minecraft.
- I made sure nothing except minecraft was running.
- I launched as an admin
Same issue.
I've made sure that the Java Executable arguments are set to: -Xmx2G per some article I found.
I've ensured all of my drivers are up to date.
I've ensured my Windows is up to date.
I've ensured Java is up to date.
I ran hardware diagnostics.
I've followed several other things that were recommended from the initial ticket that put me in communication with one of the Minecraft Gamers
A single recommendation did work. The alternative (.exe) launcher from [here
| https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download/alternative]The alternative launcher, however, ONLY works if I leave it in my downloads folder. If I move it ANYWHERE except for the downloads folder or try and put it in it's own folder nested inside the downloads folder, it immediately goes back to the above error. |
This may not be relevant, but who knows?
The modpack I've been playing for weeks is based on 1.12.2 and I had 0 issues. Now that I can get vanilla minecraft to launch using the alternative launcher, I have no issues in 1.17.1, but the moment I switched to 1.12.2 (vanilla) I started having performance issues. Every 2 - 5 seconds I will have 1-2 seconds of a massive lag spike that makes the game unplayable in survival mode.
Attached below are a few of the crash logs, picked at random, from the couple dozen.
