"failed to login: null" Issue

I recently migrated my Mojang account to Microsoft and began experiencing an issue where I could not log in to a multiplayer server (singleplayer works fine). I have tried using MC-207896 to fix this, however, I had no line mentioning a Mojang server in the hosts file and the Community Support link was expired. How can I fix this?
