*Please Help* (Minecraft Launcher and Download not working)

Okay, so i had stopped playing minecraft for a bit, and i hadn't updated in a while (start of this year) and i tried to play and it said 'Could not create Java Virtual Machine' so i went browsing and other people had said to delete java 7, and get six, but i already had six :/ so i kept looking and it said to make a '.bat' using some code, and that didn't work. So i decided to download minecraft from the link on the official website (windows version) and the page redirected me to a yahoo search and doesn't work on 'Google Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer' I then went through my program files and found '.minecraft' and the folder was almost empty (i remember trying to install mods before) I then deleted the folder, and tried the next day to download minecraft, the link was still broken. I would really like some help i want to get back into minecraft! - Thanks Jesse
