Purchase Mojang Version but can't play the game

Hi,

I just purchased the Minecraft Mojang thing for $26.99 so I can play with SO. However, while trying to create a username, it said mine was taken, then provided a screen that said try again later. When I checked my account, my username was assigned as typed, but there was no where to download the version I had JUST purchased. I tried checking my account with no avail. So my SO sent me a link to try to download it, we think it's the right one but not sure. https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download

I was able to download this version however I don't see a way to start playing in the launcher and it says to report the bug. I can't bring up the page again to screenshot it. 

I can't find any other links to download without paying twice. 

Can someone please help me?
