Can't change skin on my minecraft launcher

I can't change my skin at all, whenever I try to change my skin it'll show a small popup in the top right corner (screenshot attached) saying "Unable to activate skin" and keeps me on the same skin. I've tried relaunching and re downloading the launcher, nothing has worked.
