Can't install Java edition

I haven't signed in to my Mojang account in a while.

Today I decided to download the game after some years of not playing.

However, once I open the launcher I'm greeted with the message:

Whoops!
    Sorry, something went terribly wrong and you probably have encountered a bug. Please fill a report.??

 

I've no idea where I can grab some logs for you but I can attach a screenshot for what it's worth.
