Old account has no access to Java edition (Appears to have been related to akamai outage, please close)

I purchased minecraft back in September of 2010, Minecraft Premium Edition.

After working to get my account active again (password reset issues not allowing a reset) when loading the java edition launcher I get a "Whoops!" error under Play.
