Minecraft Launcher not opening

Minecraft Launcher is still having the issue MCL-16538 which was supposed to be resolved in February but I'm still experiencing it.

The summary of the issue is that after closing Minecraft, sometimes the Minecraft Launcher process freezes (occasionally appearing in Activity Monitor as Not responding), and because the Launcher process is still running and frozen, I cannot open Minecraft Launcher again unless I quit the Minecraft Launcher process from Activity Monitor.
