I'm unable to save/duplicate skins

For about a month now, whenever I try to save a new skin to the minecraft launcher for me to use it says "Unable to save skin." Or when I try to duplicate a skin, it says "Unable to duplicate."

I've made sure the skin files are the correct size, and they're PNG files too. I've also tried different WIFI's, Unplugged/plugged back in the router, etc. It doesn't have anything to do with the actual skin file from what I believe, so it must be an issue with the actual launcher- so I re-downloaded the newest Minecraft Java Launcher from the official site, though I still have the same problem. Nothing I've tried seems to work.
