cant play any server

Hey um, so I just got minecraft with my microsoft account and i can log in perfectly fine, but when i play, it says this " Failed to log in: The authentication servers are currently down for maintenence. And i know it seems fine but it was a gift and i dont know if i can evern play because my skin is registiring and i cant playt whatsoever. please help me.
