Unable to log into Minecraft due to repeating error: "ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED"

after repeated tries to get the game working with the assistance of the Minecraft Community Discord, #Java-Support, I was instructed to post this all here.

That is the link to one of the logs that was generated. 
I had a friend helping me try to find any possible solution. 
We did find someone else had a similar issue a few months ago...

Unfortunately, my friend does not play Minecraft, so he was not able to duplicate the error on his own computer. As well, he did not want to muck around in my system as much as might be possible. We followed all the instructions that were given to us, but to no avail. This started happening April 23 2021 (Eastern Standard Time).
