No sound in 13w42b

MC plays no sound whatsoever, whether in the UI, menus, or within the game. All audio levels in game are set to 100, system sounds are responding.

All other apps are quit, no background processes other than system processes are running.

Steps to reproduce: open minecraft, DL MC 13w42b, start game, bug is present
